Investing in our teachers is investing in our children and our future

May 25, 2012

The Virginia Education Association recently released its Legislative Report Card, grading legislators on seven key education related votes. Out of 140 legislators, only 1 State Senator and 19 Delegates scored 100%.

Progressive Point: Competition and finding a quality job in today's economy has never been tougher. Virginia should be leading in education, not getting left behind. Our future depends on the education and teachers we provide our children today. Quality classrooms and educators are not only vital to our students--they are also vital to ensuring a strong economy for the Commonwealth.

Teachers prepare the next generation of Virginian innovators and business leaders to succeed. Investing in our teachers is investing in our children, and in the success of Virginia's businesses and our economic future.
